Are projects pre-paid and guaranteed? Yes, all of our projects are pre-paid and guaranteed. Meaning that the project manager has payed Denook the prize amount before starting the project.
How do I receive my prize money? If you are the winner, you are sent an e-mail with a secure link to our file exchange. After uploading your design assets, and filling out your paypal e-mail, a confirmation is then sent to the project manager. Once the project manager reviews and makes confirmation of the assets your prize money is then released by Denook.
How long does it take to get paid? Upon confirmation of the project manager, Denook will send payment in less than 12 hours.
What happens if the project manager doesn't pick a winner? If the project manager doesn't pick a winner 14 days after the project has ended. Denook will split the prize money evenly among all the designers.
What currency do I get paid in? USD (U.S. Dollars)
What form of payment do I get paid in? Paypal. Right now that is the best choice, since it serves most major countries. More payment methods will be available in the near future.
Does Denook keep a percentage of my prize money? No. We don't believe in taking a percentage for your hard work, the prize money is paid in full to you the designer.
How much does it cost to start a project? A $25 listing fee, plus the pre-paid prize amount.
Why do you charge a $25 listing fee? Our listing fee is simply the secure service we offer to exchange files with the designer, and illustrate your project to a community of designers.
Why do I have to pre-pay, can I just pay the designer myself? Pre-pay allows the security of you, the designer, and denook's reputation as a healthy community. It is the easiest and most efficient way to manage payouts to our designers.
Does Denook keep a percentage of the pre-paid money? No. All we ask for is a small listing fee of $25.
How long do I have, before choosing a winner? We recommend no more than 48 hours. We think that is an efficient time for you to decide. This allows our community to be fast paced. We will give you a 14 days maximum, but after that, Denook will take over and choose a winner.
How do I get a lot of entries for my project? Writing a good detailed brief, giving constant feedback, and taking advantage of the rating tools. Communication is key, don't let your project go to waste by ignoring it until its ended. Our designers want feedback, and they will execute your ideas.
How do I receive my design assets? After you choose the winner, an e-mail is automatically sent to the winner with a secure file exchange link. After they have uploaded the files, you are sent an e-mail with a secure file exchange link where you can download the files and confirm them.
Can I cancel my project? Although we don't recommend this option. Yes, you have approximately 12 hours to cancel and receive your pre-paid money back. However, we do not refund the listing fee.
How can I join the community? Press the button located on the top right corner of the page "Join Denook".
Is it free to join? Yes, it is completely free to join!
How do I edit my profile details? You must be logged in, then click your username located on the top bar and it will take you to your profile. In your profile there is a button "Edit my info".
How do I change my profile photo? You must be logged in, then click your username located on the top bar and it will take you to your profile. In your profile there is a button "Chanage Photo".
How come I don't have anyone in my chat buddy list? You must first add some friends before you can chat with anyone.
How do I add friends? You can visit anyone's profile through the community section, or around the site by clicking their photo or name. Once you are in their profile you can send them a friend request. After they have approved you, they will be on your friends list located in your profile.
How do I update my status in the chat? In the bottom chat area there is a settings button located all the way to the right. There you can change your status availability to "available, busy, or invisible". You can also setup a custom status message as well.
Can I deactivate my account? Yes. Currently we don't offer a button in your profile to do that. You must visit the contact page to request account deactivation.
I forgot my password! What can I do? Please go to the login page, click "forgot password" and follow the steps.
Can I have multiple accounts? One account is limited to one e-mail. Having multiple accounts is against our user guidelines. If we suspect multiple account usage, your account may be permanently deleted.

What is the the Stream? It is the most recent activity captured in our community. We capture the most recent entries & disucssions from projects, and global streams.
